HAIR CARE TIPS

As a wigmaker, I find that a vast majority of my clients aren’t knowledgeable about how to take care of their wigs and that’s where I come in and teach you the Do’s and Don’ts on Wig Maintenance and how to have your wigs lasting a lifetime.

At LacedbtLiszy we strive for customer satisfaction and having your investment worth your while and your coins.

  1. Always co-wash hair before installing and allow hair to air dry.

  2. Be gentle with your lace. Never scratch your unit aggressively with your fingers, this will cause excessive shedding and balding of your lace unit over time.

  3. Do not use excessive products such as gel, heavy oils and pomade on your baby hairs or wigs. This will cause excessive shedding of your baby hairs as well as it will weigh down your unit and cause it to tangle.

  4. Use a dime size amount of light oils such as Argon oil or Biosilk serum to keep hair moisturized*

  5. Never comb or brush curly/deep wave units while dry, this will also cause excessive breakage and shedding. Instead, drench your wig with a spray bottle of water mixed with a little conditioner and comb from the ends all the way to the top of your closure/frontal until you have detangled completely.

  6. If you decide to where our “Glueless Units” with glue, before going to bed always wear a silk bonnet.

  7. For Deep Wave and Curly Units, always detangle hair with a paddle brush, wide tooth comb or detangle brush. Never use a fine tooth/rat tail comb to detangle hair as this may cause shedding.

  8. To prevent heat damage, we recommend using a heat protectant serum or spray prior to using a heating tool*

  9. When washing your units never massage the hair while wet, this may cause matting and tangling. Instead use a wide tooth comb or fingers to work the product (shampoo/conditioner) thoroughly through the hair until it is clean.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

**Please be advised that excessive amount of oil products can cause damage to the hair by weighing the hair down and causing the hair to lose its volume**

**It is recommended to deep condition your unit at least 2-3 times per month to keep hair moisturized and for longevity**

**Lacedbyliszy recommends that you seek professional assistance for coloring and installing**
